La Santa Cecilia are among various L.A. artists spotlighted this week by Paste Magazine, which has been traveling city by city around the U.S. since last year featuring local bands and musicians. The bilingual L.A. band shared new songs they’ve developed while distanced during the pandemic, including their emotional song “Luz” for the recent documentary “The Three Deaths of Marisela Escobedo,” and more interconnected social justice awakenings during the past year. All the recent L.A. sets were filmed at the Hotel Cafe, filmed by Brad Wagner and sound engineered by Andrew Barkau. Check out other sets happening this week (past and future).
